Civic Power & Participation

Civic participation is about more than voting. It's about understanding how decisions are made, knowing how to make your voice heard, and having the confidence to shape the future of your community.

At Asians Rising GA, we  are building spaces where Asian American communities across Georgia can learn, ask questions, share experiences, and take action together. We believe civic power begins with belonging, grows through understanding, and becomes real through collective participation.

    We use art, storytelling, and cultural expression to strengthen civic identity, celebrate our histories, and imagine new possibilities for our communities.

  • Leadership Development

    We cultivate the next generation of leaders through training, mentorship, storytelling, and opportunities to develop the skills needed to lead in community.

Civic Education

We provide accessible learning spaces and resources that help answer questions like:

  • How do local decisions get made in Georgia?

  • Who represents my community, and what do they do?

  • How do policies impact housing, schools, healthcare, and jobs?

Community Conversations

We host and support community conversations where people can speak honestly about what they are experiencing.

These spaces are designed for:

  • Listening across generations and languages

  • Identifying shared concerns and priorities within ethnic specific groups

  • Building trust and connection across communities

  • Surfacing issues that matter most to AAPI communities in Georgia


These conversations are the foundation of how we understand community needs,and how we build power together.
