Artivism: Where Art Meets Action

Art has always been intertwined with the world of activism, serving as an accessible way to engage in conversation around social issues and empower communities to tell their own stories. Asians Rising GA’s artivism work includes building a creative home for Asian American artists, storytellers, and culture-makers who believe that art can help transform communities and strengthen civic participation.

OUR WORK

Why Artivism?

Stories shape how communities see themselves. For immigrant communities, storytelling is often the first step toward civic participation, leadership, and collective power.

Artivism helps us:

  • Celebrate Asian American cultures and identities

  • Preserve community histories

  • Challenge harmful narratives

  • Build belonging across generations

  • Inspire civic action through creativity
